SERENITY PRAYER

O God, give us
serenity to accept what cannot be changed,
courage to change what should be changed,
and wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.

神よ
変えることの出来ないものについては受け入れる冷静さを、
変えることの出来るものについては変えようとする勇気を、
そして
変えることの出来るものと
変えることの出来ないものとを見分ける分別を
私にお与えください。




Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life, and
supremely happy with Him forever in the next.

いっときに、一日だけを生き
いっときに、一瞬だけを喜ぶ。
苦しみも平和へ続く道として受け入れ
イエスの如く、この罪深い世界をあるがままに理解して後悔せず
主の意志に身をゆだねれば、すべてをあるべき姿にしてくれると信じて
そして、現世では適度の幸福を
来世では、主と共に至高の幸福を感じることができるように。
